On November 14,2008 Ms.Bianchi
was sentenced to six years in prison for killing Becky. Ms. Bianchi will have to serve 85% of her sentence before being
eligible for parole. She will also be on parole for 3 years after her release along with losing her drivers license
for 10 years. I will continue to fight for Ms.Bianchi to loss her driving privileges for life. The fight is
not over yet!!! The maximum sentence by law for vehicular homicide is 10 years. Although we did not get the
maximum sentence we did the best we could. Ms. Bianchi is also facing charges that she got while released on bail on October
30,2008 for aggravated assault, burglary, and having a weapon for unlawful use. The only thing that we can hope for
is that she gets the 10 years this sentence carries if convicted. I would like to take this time to thank everyone for their
support and prayers during this difficult time.. I just hope that this will help in keeping something like this
from happening to any other family. We will continue our petition and will forward every signature we get to legislation
to help change the laws that allow this to happen. There has already been a bill sent in January by Senator Sweeney to require
municipal prosecutors to check driving records before allowing them to plead to the unsafe operator charge.
This bill remains before the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee. This bill was brought to life by what happened to Becky
let's pray it get's passed.
Let's continue
our fight to HELP SAVE LIVES!!!!!!
